The Next Prez Signs Off

It is a sad for political bloggers, today the final entry was made on the Next Prez blog.

The Next Prex was started on July 14, 2005, with these words:

"Welcome to the official blog of TheNextPrez.

The purpose of this blog will be to track the 2008 U.S. Presidential race, from beginning to end, and, if things go well, subsequent presidential races.

This blog will cover all of the candidates and potential candidates from all legitimate political parties (defined as those which garnered at least 100,000 votes for President in the previous election), and the issues likely to affect the outcome of the race," and that is exactly what that blog has done.

Today, February 1, 2007, Doug Daniels the editor of the popular blog made this shocking announcement:

"I hate to abandon this effort just when things are getting the most interesting, but recent changes in my day job and some upcoming projects will prevent me from giving this blog the attention it requires, so I have decided to suspend further posting on The Next Prez. I have enjoyed writing here for the past eighteen-plus months, and greatly appreciate the time and effort invested by all of you in helping to make this an interesting site, particularly the presidential candidates who have participated. I will leave the site online as long as Blogger/Google permits it, and invite my fellow 2008 bloggers to quote any of the material here as you wish."

From one blogger to another, best of wishes in your future and thanks for all the work that was put into The Next Prez.

I am going to start where The Next Prez ended. If I could get your support, and possibly a link on here, it would be much appreciated.
