Corsi Tops Giuliani

Jerome Corsi (C) won the most recent match up poll here on the CP08 with 37.5% of the 24 votes cast, Rudy Giuliani came in second with 16.67%.

Hillary Clinton (D), Chuck Hagel (U-08) and Joe Lieberman (I) all tied for third with 12.5% each. Wayne Allyn Root (L) got 8.33%.

Paul Defeats Adams

Independent Steve Adams' online supporters were no match in the most recent poll held here on the Conservative President 2008.

Republican Ron Paul finished on top with 60.68% of the 117 votes cast. Adams followed behind with 29.06%.

Alan Keyes won 7.69% on the Constitution Party ticket followed by Libertarian George Phillies with just 1.71%, but Democrat Mike Gravel failed to get 1% of the vote receiving 0.85%.

Poll: McCain Takes Lead, Thompson Takes On Romney

After coming in second place in recent Republican polls, Sen. John McCain came in first place with 22% in a poll held in South Carolina.

Rudy Giuliani came in second with 19% but, Mitt Romney lost his third place position to Fred Thompson who scored 11% with Romney close behind with 10%. South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, who has said he will not run, finished fourth with 8%.

Paul Leading CP Poll

Republican Congressman and former Libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul is ahead in a poll on the Constitution Party web site.

Out the 2,533 votes cast so far, Paul leads as the first choice candidate for President with 42%. Congressman Tom Tancredo is in second with 23% with Alan Keyes in third with 12%. Roy More is polling 8%, Congressman Duncan Hunter 5%, Constitution Party founder and three time presidential candidate Howard Phillips has 4%. 2004 CP Vice Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin has 3%, Jim Gilchrist 2%, Montana State Rep. Rick Jore 1%, and Jerome Corsi, author of Unfit for Command, has 0%.

For second choice candidate Tancredo leads the field with 27% and Keyes is the top third choice candidate with 16%.

CP Conducting Poll

The Constitution Party has mailed out a poll to potential supporters to see who they would like to become the next Presidential candidate of the party. In a letter accompanied with the poll, it said that some of the Republicans running for President have expressed interest in running on the Constitution Party ticket after they fail to win the GOP nomination.

Ron Paul Takes Poll In Landslide

Republican Congressman Ron Paul took the March poll with a land slide victory over Constitution Michael Peroutka and Democrat Senator Barak Obama.

Paul received 75.57% of the 393 votes cast compared to Peroutka's 11.7% and Obama's 5.85%. Other candidates included in the poll were Green Elaine Brown (1.53%), Independent Dave Koch (2.54%) and Libertarian George Phillies (2.8%).

Giuliani Continues Lead

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani continues to lead the GOP field. In the most recent Opinion Research Corporation poll Giuliani leads the pack of hopefuls with 34% compared to Sen. John McCain's 18%.

CPAC Polls

Several polls were held this weekends Conservative Political Action Conference.

Participants were asked which candidate would be their first choice for President in which Mitt Romney finished on top with 21% compared to Rudy Giuliani's 17%, Sam Brownback's 15%, Newt Gingrich's 14%, and John McCain's 12%.

Another poll among traditional values supporters gave Sam Brownback the win with 29% over Mitt Romney's 22%.

Gingrich and Giuliani tied in the poll asking who would your second choice for President be, both receiving 16%.

When combing the first and second choice results Rudy Giuliani won with 34% followed by a tie for second place between Romney and Gingrich with 30% each.

Final Vote: McCain Wins

After what looked like a sure victory for either Rudy Giuliani or Duncan Hunter, John McCain finished in first in the Spartansburg County, South Carolina, straw poll.

With all precincts reporting, McCain, who was in third place as of Thursday night, finished in the top slot with 164 votes. Giulaini reciecved 162 votes and Hunter 158 votes.

Giuliani Makes a Narrow Victory Over Hunter

A day after he officially announced his candidacy for the Presidency, Senator John McCain came within a few votes of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and California Congressman Duncan Hunter in a straw poll held in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Out of about 800 ballots cast and 81 out of 92 precincts reporting in this conservative county, Giuliani received 158 votes, Hunter 152 votes, and McCain came in third with 116 votes.

Other candidates also included in the poll were: Senator Sam Brownback, 83 votes, Mitt Romney, 80 votes, and Mike Huckabee, 21 votes.

Adams Wins Poll

Independent Steve Adams won the February poll here at the Conservative President 2008. Out of the 240 votes cast Adams received 46.67% of the vote.

Former Alabama Republican Supreme Court Judge Roy Moore came in second with 17.08% followed by Republican Rudy Giuliani with 12.5%.

In fourth place former Republican congressman Bob Barr received 10.42% on the Libertarian line. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson won 6.25% of the vote for the Democrats with Gene Chapman following behind with 4.58% as a the Reform Party candidate.

The Green Party's Kat Swift won 2.5%.

Giuliani Takes Strong Lead

The liberal former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has taken a strong lead over his challengers for the Republican Party presidential nomination.

Giuliani has topped the crowed of Republicans in six recent polls. In each poll Giuliani finished on top with 28-38%. John McCain finished second in each of the polls with his highest score being 22%.

A lot work will have to be done between now and 2008 if there is any hope of having a conservative as the next Republican candidate.

Giuliani Leader Among NH Conservatives

Despite liberal stands on social issues, Rudy Giuliani is leading the Republican field in New Hampshire among conservatives.

"McCain has been currying favor with conservatives. But despite his views on abortion rights, gay rights and gun control, Giuliani seems to be rallying conservative voters in New Hampshire," CNN reports.

Thirty-one percent of New Hampshire conservatives said that would choose Giuliani as the next Republican nominee for President compared to 20% for John McCain.

Corsi Wins Jan. Poll

Best selling author and conservative commentator Jerry Corsi won the January poll here at Conservative President 2008 with 47.34% of the 207 votes cast.

Republican new comer John Cox came in second with 24.64%. For third place Libertarian Christine Smith edged out Democrat John Edwards with 13.04% compared to Edwards' 12.08%.

Independent Daniel Imperato appeared for a second time in the polls here and he only received 1.93% compared to his November showing of 5.19%. The Green Party's Pat LaMarche also dropped in numbers this time around, winning only 0.97% compared to her November showing of 1.3%.

Gingrich Takes Third Place

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has been making gains in recent polls. In a poll among Republican voters from Iowa Gingrich won 13%, beating out Condi Rice (9%) and Mitt Romney (5%), he also received 12% in a Georgia poll.

Gingrich came in third place in polls held in New Hampshire (14%), South Carolina (15%), Nevada (22%) and another Iowa poll in which he won 18%. Romney never reached the double digits in these polls.

Kubby Takes Poll

Libertarian Steve Kubby won the December match up poll from The Conservative President 2008.
